If you are new to journaling or need new inspiration for your journals, read the following affirmation aloud or re-write it into your journal:
“My journal helps me to develop self-knowledge and awareness. I become happier and more productive by writing, expressing, and meditating about my life. I gain deeper insights into the reasons for my actions through reflection, exploration, and expression.
I sort out my emotions with colors and words. My feelings are less confused when I express them on paper. I acknowledge my anger or sadness without letting these emotions take over. I treat myself with compassion while I take constructive action.
I reflect on how I arrived at where I am today. I celebrate my accomplishments and growth, and I notice recurring patterns in my relationships and career. I can see the cycles in my life, the lessons I have learned and am still learning.
I identify what I really want out of life. My priorities and values become clear. I have clear goals revise my to-do list so I can focus on the things that really matter to me. I prioritize how I devote my time and energy.
I evaluate my progress and congratulate myself on my victories, large and small. I have faith in my future progress, I identify my challenges, and I reach out to others for support in areas where I am struggling.
I create my own healing process. I come to terms with the past and forgive those who have disappointed me. I let go of regrets, knowing my mistakes are tied to my humanity. As I write about stressful experiences, my anxiety fades away. I find solutions and alternatives. I unload my worries, dump my negative internal dialog. I feel lighter and more energetic.
I celebrate my strengths and acknowledge my blessings. I think about how I can leverage my skills as I focus on the projects that I want to work on and infd my calling. I am confident that I can rise to any challenge and I am grateful for those who support me.
Today, I use my journal to connect with my authentic self. Writing down my thoughts and feelings helps me to relax, learn, and grow.”
