Thank you for reading Two-Lane Renaissance — your involvement in my audience empowers me and helps me keep on my creative path. I’ve been so blessed in this, my transition back to simple living, creative production, and work-from-home remote work. I appreciate you following along as I step back off the hamster wheel of Dominant Society.

We got six new pullets this fall, as our flock of hens was down to two. I admire my jars of blackberry preserves, salsa, pizza sauce, and tomato soup in the pantry. And this time of year, I am reminded that two years ago we all were post-pandemic paranoid, and mostly miserable. I remember wondering, when the pandemic hit, how our lives, how my life would change.

I knew, there would be a drawn-out transition period for me. I knew it would be a good while before everything, scattered and chaotic, would come back together. Even now, my go-to explanation for anything and everything is, “I’m currently in a transition period of my life.”

I think we all are, it’s just a little more dramatic and drawn-out for some. And I’m still working to figure it all out. But it has taken only six months for me to count my blessings with refreshed appreciation. Thanksgiving? You betcha. I’m grateful. I’m warm, dry, safe, fed, loved. In the end, that’s what matters, isn’t it?

I am also grateful for you Dear Reader. I don’t know why sometimes folks show interest and take time to take in my written thoughts, but I’m sure glad you’re here. Without readers, what purpose is there to write?
